Hangover Banana-Almond Smoothie

In case you drank one too many, here it is.

Young Thai coconut water is full of electrolytes and will help to hydrate you. It’s even been used as an emergency intravenous hydration! Bananas are full of potassium (alcohol causes loss of potassium) and the vitamin E in the almonds will help work against the harmful effects of alcohol.

Serves 2–the Mr. and I πŸ™‚

2 bananas

1.5 cups coconut water

handful of almonds

1/2 tsp almond extract (use vanilla extract if you don’t have any almond)

4 ice cubes

Blend all the ingredients in a Vitamix or high-speed blender and drink away.

Bye bye headache!

  1. Great idea! I swear coconut water is a miracle hangover cure. I don’t drink very often, but when I do I’m a bit of a lightweight, so coconut water has been my BFF in the morning a few times. πŸ˜‰
